I took the S-Bahn after work to Brandenburg Gate as usual, this time coming out of the metro station to be greeted by a relatively warm and dry night for December. My speed-5K in the Tiergarten was decent but it seems that regardless of how you feel, your inner body has its own condition, which you find out within the first couple kilometers how fast your body is going to run. It's always about 2K that I get into the groove that my body will be able to maintain throughout the 5K distance, which, tonight was quite steady and especially during the last four minutes, I was able to almost get into a full, Hannah-like end-sprint.
After finishing with a 23:51, I took off on a bit of a new route home, cutting west at Berliner Str. down toward Dahlem, a much more residential flair through warmly lit streets of Friedenau and northern Steglitz approaching the Schlossstr.
