I had run after work on Tuesday and wanted to try running three times a week (twice during the week and once on the weekend), but it turned out to be too much of an intrusion in daily life: I can't go shopping on the way home, have to wash running clothes again, etc. and also, my legs didn't feel fully recovered from Tuesday's run, although I did manage to get under 24:00 again.
I can imagine the negative impact doing one of those full-marathon-training plans has on private and family life, i.e. those plans where you have to run 4 or 5 times a week.
In any case, I also have my gymnastics course, my Monday morning 6K run with Hannah, and want to start my Friday swims again, I think two runs a week is optimal, one during the week one on the weekend.
