15K Pichelsberg to Friedenau Run with Gisi
I had told Gisi about the 10K Pichelsberg-to-Schmargendorf run that I scouted out last week for Hannah's and my official 10K run for June, and Gisi said she would like to run it as a more exciting alternative to her 15K Teltowkanal run that she usually does. So we planned it so we would take a Car2Go to Pichelsberg (which was good to get to know how to maneuver through the Messedamm spaghetti-street-off-ramp area there), leave the car in Pichelsberg like Hannah and I will do, run the 10K, get a drink at the finishing ARAL gas station on Clayallee, and then continue on for 5K through Wilmersdorf, as we wanted to see where the Wilmersdorf Freibad was, which stretched the run into a 15K.

The course navigation worked very well now that I know where all the turns are, and I realized that this is one of the most beautiful and varied 10K routes I know in Berlin. It was a beautiful, spring-like day, and so not surprisingly, we ended up at an ice cream shop on Südwestkorso in Friedenau, sitting on a bench facing the street, enjoying the sun and the intellectual neighborhood there, everyone walking around looked like a journalist or university professor, etc. very nice.

We found a car about eight streets away, hopped in and drove home, where, to our surprise, Hannah had cooked us a delicious lunch of salmon, rice and salad, also very nice.
